Medieval Cutlery Set, hand-forged stainless steel
- 55.00€
Notwithstanding its medieval design, this four-piece cutlery set made by Ulfberth also perfectly meets the high standards of modern cuisine: All items are hand-forged out of stainless steel, hence non-corroding and suited for direct contact with food. We nevertheless recommend that you clean them thoroughly prior to first use.
This set is composed of a fork, a knife, a spoon and a pick, also called an eating awl. In medieval times, people would use the eating pick to skewer their food and raise it to their mouth. It was basically their actual fork. Although the fork itself already existed at the time, it was commonly used as a serving item, for example to hold a piece of meat down while carving it, in the same way a carving fork is used nowadays.
The four items of this set may be easily tied together with a leather strap and for example fastened to your belt.
