Viking Scramasax, Seax Dagger with Bone Grip
- 115.00€
This short Viking Age sax knife (also known as a broken back seax due to its particular blade shape) has a hand-forged EN45 high carbon steel blade with a thick spine. The eye-catching bone grip is polished, artfully etched, and terminates with a collar and a butt cap, both made of steel.
The Viking seax comes with a thick, vegetable tanned leather sheath featuring antiqued brass fittings – reinforcing plates, rivets and two hanging rings.
Please note that this Viking knife is primarily designed as a collectible, decoration piece or prop and by no means suited for combat re-enactment! The blade’s point is not rounded, and the edge is not sharpened, yet slightly ground (approx. 1 mm thick).
